Uniglass is extending its offering beyond equipment supply with the launch of its Sealing Robot Zone Upgrade, a retrofit solution designed to modernise existing insulating glass (IG) lines. Addressing one of the most common production bottlenecks, the upgrade automates the sealing process, improving speed, consistency, and overall output.
The system enables automated sealing for both double and triple glazed units, using high-speed dosing with a static mixer to ensure a stable and reliable material flow. It supports a wide range of unit types, including rectangular, shaped, and stepped configurations, with thicknesses up to 80 mm.
Engineered for efficient integration, the upgrade features an independent control cabinet and pre-configured mechanical and electrical interfaces. This significantly reduces installation time and limits production downtime. By minimising manual intervention and operator variability, manufacturers benefit from fewer errors, reduced labour dependency, and extended lifecycle performance of their existing IG lines, regardless of brand.
