RevoCast Launches Canadian Aluminium Remelting Facility

RevoCast has launched a new 120,000 ft² aluminium remelting facility in Langley, British Columbia, strengthening recycled aluminium production capacity in Western Canada. The first billet was successfully cast on August 1, 2026, with the plant designed to produce up to 80,000 tonnes of aluminium billets annually.

The facility is engineered to process recycled aluminium into high-quality 6xxx-series billets for extrusion markets across the West Coast and Pacific Northwest. Available in 178 mm (7-inch) and 203 mm (8-inch) diameters, the billets can reach sellable lengths of 7.3 metres.

Energy performance is a central element of the plant’s process design. High-efficiency burner systems and electromagnetic stirring optimise melting performance while reducing energy consumption. The facility also captures energy through its drying chambers, improving overall thermal efficiency.

RevoCast says the combination of these technologies enables energy consumption per tonne to approach levels among the lowest for single-chamber melting furnace configurations. The project also introduces advanced aluminium manufacturing capabilities and skilled employment opportunities to Langley’s industrial sector.
