NorthGlass Automation has been awarded the contract to deliver a fully integrated smart factory solution for Shaanxi Hong Glass Innovation Materials Co., Ltd.’s new intelligent glass processing facility in China. The project marks another significant milestone for NorthGlass as demand for digitalized and automated glass manufacturing continues to grow.
The scope of the project covers the complete glass processing workflow, including cutting, edging, tempering, laminating, and insulating glass production. The facility will also be supported by a centralized Manufacturing Execution System (MES), enabling unified production management, real-time data monitoring, and seamless integration across all manufacturing stages.

NorthGlass Automation will deploy its proprietary smart factory platform, incorporating automated warehousing, intelligent logistics systems, laser marking technology, and fully connected production lines. Once operational, the plant will achieve automated processing from raw glass storage through to finished insulating glass units, creating a highly efficient and collaborative production environment.
The development represents a planned investment of CNY 215 million and will occupy a total land area of 28,552 square meters. Construction plans include approximately 20,000 square meters of high-standard intelligent manufacturing facilities, a 3,000-square-meter office building, and supporting warehousing and production infrastructure. The project aims to establish a modern industrial park focused on efficiency, digitalization, and environmental responsibility.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience in glass processing technologies, NorthGlass has built a comprehensive smart manufacturing ecosystem centered on automation, intelligent logistics, and MES integration. The successful award of this project further reinforces market confidence in the company’s technical expertise and innovative smart factory solutions.
