DURÁN INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON SUSTAINABLE GLASS PROCESSING AND APPLICATIONS: HONORING THE LEGACY OF PROF. ALICIA DURÁN
We are excited to announce the Durán International Symposium on Sustainable Glass Processing and Applications, which will take place as part of the FLOGEN SIPS 2023 at the Hyatt’s Dreams Playa Bonita Resort in Panama from 27 Nov to 1 Dec 2023. This highly anticipated symposium will honor the lifetime achievements of Prof. Alicia Durán, a distinguished figure in the field of Sustainable Glass Processing and Applications.
Prof. Durán, a Research Professor of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, has made significant contributions to the field, having published over 270 articles and authored 14 books and 14 book chapters. Her most recent accomplishment was chairing the UN International Year of Glass 2022.
The symposium is chaired by a diverse group of experts, including Erik Muijsenberg, Lucien Belmonte, Delia Brauer, Bertrand Cazes, John Parker, and Setsuhisa Tanabe, and will feature a wide range of attendees from different fields, such as Academics, Engineers, Managers, Directors, CEOs, Medical Doctors, Lawyers, Economists, and Politicians.
