Gerresheimer proudly announces its Gold status accreditation by the esteemed ratings agency EcoVadis. This prestigious recognition assesses businesses on crucial environmental, labor, human rights, and ethical procurement criteria.
Top 1% Industry Leader
Earning a coveted spot in the top 5% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis and the top 1% in the industry, Gerresheimer impressively improved its score to 72 out of 100 points. Despite the stringent yearly requirements, this accomplishment underscores Gerresheimer’s unwavering commitment to its sustainability objectives embedded within its formula g corporate strategy.
CEO Speaks: A Commitment to Social Responsibility
Expressing his delight, Dietmar Siemssen, CEO of Gerresheimer AG, emphasized, “It shows our customers, employees, suppliers, and the capital market very clearly how important corporate social responsibility is to us. We have set ambitious sustainability goals that we are systematically pursuing and that we will be measured by.”
A Decade of Sustainable Practices
Since 2011, Gerresheimer has relied on EcoVadis to independently assess its progress in various sustainability criteria, achieving Gold status for the first time in 2022. The EcoVadis assessment aligns with international standards, including the UN Global Compact, ILO conventions, GRI standards, ISO 26000, CERES principles, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Transparent Commitment
Gerresheimer’s dedication to transparency is evident through its annual sustainability reports, disclosure of relevant data on the EcoVadis platform, and participation in esteemed evaluations by MSCI, Sustainalytics, and ISS. In August 2023, Gerresheimer also joined the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), validating its CO2 reduction targets’ alignment with the Paris Agreement.
