Full Glass, a leading glass company based in Peru, has experienced a remarkable journey with Glaston’s cutting-edge technology over the past decade.

Frank Calderón Gómez, the Managing Director of Full Glass, vividly recalls his first encounter with Glaston’s technology at glass exhibitions in Brazil and Argentina approximately 15 years ago. This initial introduction laid the foundation for a long-standing partnership that has significantly transformed the company’s operations and productivity.

In 2013, Full Glass made a pivotal decision to invest in its first Glaston RC200 tempering furnace for its facility in Arequipa, Peru. The decision was driven by the company’s unwavering commitment to operational reliability and the assurance of Glaston’s exemplary support and brand warranty. The success and satisfaction derived from this investment paved the way for a subsequent decision to acquire a new Glaston RC Series tempering furnace, which was exclusively based on Glaston’s technology but manufactured in China.

“We are very satisfied with the quality of our new RC Series tempering line and the glass it produces. The Vortex Pro convection control system is excellent. The furnace made by Glaston China is just as well manufactured as the previous furnace we bought from Glaston’s factory in Finland,” expressed Gómez, reflecting on the company’s positive experience.

The implementation of the RC Series line with the advanced convection control system Vortex Pro in December 2022 marked a significant milestone for Full Glass. The furnace, delivered to the Lima factory in September 2023, not only showcased superior quality in tempered glass production but also demonstrated a remarkable reduction in electricity consumption. The adoption of this new technology resulted in a substantial decrease in power usage, translating to significant cost savings for the company.

Gómez emphasized the exceptional support and service received from Glaston during the installation, commissioning, training, and ongoing maintenance of the new RC Series furnace. The seamless transition and start-up process were facilitated by the expertise and familiarity that Full Glass’ team had acquired from their previous experience with Glaston’s technology.

Acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Glaston’s agent LATAMGLASS and sub-agents Orlando Kihara and Angelo Leidi, Gómez expressed his gratitude, stating, “The RC Series tempering furnace is an excellent machine – supported by good attention from the sales, production, installation, and after-sales teams.”

Full Glass’ success story with Glaston’s technology stands as a testament to the transformative impact of innovative solutions and dedicated support in enhancing operational efficiency and driving sustainable growth. As the company continues to thrive and expand its capabilities, the partnership with Glaston remains instrumental in shaping a future defined by excellence and advancement in the glass industry.
