Rejecting Misconceptions about Glass
FEVE acknowledges areas of agreement with Zero Waste Europe/RELOOP while firmly refuting the notion that glass would receive a “free pass” under the current PPWR plans. Their claim is based on a ZWE-commissioned study by Eunomia on the “Decarbonisation of Single Use Beverage Packaging,” which wrongly assumes that decarbonisation is optional for industries. In reality, decarbonisation is a mandatory requirement for all industries operating within the EU.
