Since 2010, friends Rinaldo Willy and Pascal Mittner have embarked on a mission to make Switzerland a renowned whisky nation. Rooted in the canton of Graubünden, the name “ORMA” reflects the distillery’s essence, as it means “soul” in Rhaeto-Romanic.

This high-quality insulating glass offers exceptional thermal insulation, energy efficiency, and aesthetics.
Leading-edge Warm Edge Spacer Bars
The Öko Star insulating glass units feature SWISSPACER’s high-tech warm edge spacer bars, including the impressive SWISSPACER Ultimate. Renowned for its outstanding performance and elegant matte surface, the Ultimate minimizes cold bridges on the glass edge and significantly reduces condensation risks. Its exceptional stability ensures parallelism in the frame, and the foil guarantees prolonged durability.
Mastering the Challenge
Creating the window elements for ORMA Distillery presented unique challenges. Overcoming the limitations of the mountainous site at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, MGT Mayer Glastechnik successfully delivered the window elements via helicopter. The largest window, measuring more than ten square meters, demonstrated MGT Mayer’s expertise in handling large sizes. To withstand the climate conditions during transport, a pressure equalization valve was installed and securely sealed on-site.
Exquisite Corner Design
With meticulous attention to detail, MGT Mayer employed ultrasonically welded frame corners, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing design. This precise construction optimizes load transfer in the insulating glass units of the ORMA distillery.
