In this year’s report, several noteworthy highlights underscore Ardagh Group’s commitment to sustainability:
1. Reducing Environmental Impact
Ardagh Group has made significant strides in reducing water consumption, energy usage, and greenhouse gas emissions across its operations. 
2. Implementing Sustainable Strategies
Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) and Ardagh Glass Packaging (AGP) have embraced science-based emissions reduction and social sustainability strategies, aligning with Ardagh’s overarching goals.
3. Enhanced Transparency
Ardagh has expanded its reporting on sustainability goals and progress, adhering to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, showcasing transparency in its sustainable practices.
4. Investing in Education
Ardagh has launched the Ardagh for Education program in North America, with a substantial investment of up to USD 50 million through Project Lead the Way. Additionally, Ardagh for Education has been introduced in Germany, partnering with Wissenfabrik, with an investment of up to EUR 5 million.
5. Sustainability Certification
Ardagh’s dedication to sustainability has been recognized by EcoVadis, an esteemed and independent sustainability rating platform. Ardagh has received the prestigious platinum rating for two consecutive years, showcasing its unwavering commitment to sustainable practices.
6. Commitment to Greenhouse Gas Reduction
In 2022, both AMP and AGP received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for their respective near-term targets to reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030.
