DK Holdings has developed its Flexible Diamond Belt range for glass arrissing, edge grinding and seaming applications, targeting consistent material removal and edge finishing in flat glass processing.
Manufactured at the company’s ISO-certified facilities in the UK, the belts use DK’s Flexible Diamond material, combining diamond abrasive performance with a flexible backing. The construction allows the abrasive to follow the working area while maintaining controlled cutting performance during wet processing.
The abrasive surface is produced with regularly spaced diamond islands. According to DK Holdings, this configuration allows coolant or lubricant to carry away slurry during operation, helping minimise clogging and maintain material removal efficiency.
Belt selection depends on several processing parameters, including machine type, glass thickness, contact pressure, coolant conditions, production speed and the required finish. DK Holdings produces belts in different dimensions and diamond grades. The 1,180 × 80 mm format is among the company’s most commonly used sizes for arrissing and edge-processing applications.
The belts are available in grades suited to different stages of processing, from heavier stock removal to edge refinement and finer finishing. DK can also manufacture belts for specific glass-processing machines and configurations.
