Six women and one company have been recognised at the Women with Metal Awards 2026, presented during ALUMINIUM 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The awards highlight women making contributions across sustainability, innovation, leadership and inclusion in the aluminium and metals industries, while also recognising companies supporting greater opportunities for women.Quds Yahya Al-Balushi, ESG Officer at Oman Aluminium Rolling Company, received the Future Leader award for her work in ESG, climate and decarbonisation strategy.The Role Model award went to Siri Sande, Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer at Storvik Group, for her efforts supporting young talent, education and women’s representation in technical professions.
Tiziana Tronci, CEO of Gefond, was recognised as Sustainable & Innovative Leader, reflecting her work combining industrial innovation, digitalisation, energy efficiency and AI-driven technologies.The Unseen Impact award was presented to Nabeeha Farooqui, Materials Scientist at Crown Packaging, for her contribution to increasing the use of recycled aluminium.Teresa Hayes, HR Manager at Logan Aluminum, received the Women with Metal Champion – Individual award for her work in mentoring and career development.The Women with Metal Champion – Company award went to Canex Aluminum for its commitment to equality and inclusion across operational and leadership roles.
The awards underline the growing role of women in shaping the future of the global metals industry.
