The North American market remains a key export destination for Italian glass-processing technology, making GlassBuild America 2026 an important international appointment for GIMAV, the Italian Association of Glass Processing Machinery and Accessory Suppliers. The event takes place September 23–25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
According to GIMAV General Director Lucia Masutti, the association’s participation is built around four strategic priorities.
The first is strengthening Italy’s presence in the US market, which GIMAV identifies as the primary foreign market for its member companies. Demand for Italian machinery and technologies is being driven by requirements for automation, energy efficiency and precision in both flat and hollow glass processing.
The second priority is the Italian Pavilion, coordinated by GIMAV in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE). The initiative brings Italian companies together under a coordinated national presence while supporting their internationalisation and access to foreign markets. 
A third focus is the development of stronger relations with the National Glass Association (NGA), the US glass industry association and organiser of GlassBuild America. GIMAV sees closer cooperation between the two organisations as a channel for dialogue between Italian technology suppliers and the North American glass industry.
