German glass processor SCHOLLGLAS has expanded its cooperation with LandGlass Technology, following a decade of equipment operation and a new investment in a high-capacity tempering furnace.
Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Barsinghausen, Germany, SCHOLLGLAS today operates 18 locations across Germany, Poland, Denmark and the Netherlands, with approximately 1,400 employees. The group processes insulating, toughened and laminated glass for architectural and industrial applications.
The cooperation with LandGlass began in 2015, when SCHOLLGLAS purchased two LandGlass glass tempering furnaces. According to LandGlass, the equipment has been operating for more than ten years, supporting SCHOLLGLAS production, particularly in its home appliance glass division.
In 2025, SCHOLLGLAS added a LandGlass A2442T3 double-chamber glass tempering furnace. The new furnace is being used for the processing of large volumes of high-quality glass for both the home appliance and architectural sectors, increasing production capacity and supporting the company’s manufacturing layout. 
SCHOLLGLAS production manager Ralf Mensing and the production team identified four key areas in their assessment of the LandGlass equipment: operational stability, overall cost competitiveness, processing quality and technical service.
LandGlass states that its furnaces have delivered consistent production performance over the partnership, with processed glass characterized by good flatness, uniform stress distribution and optical quality. These characteristics are particularly relevant to architectural safety glass and appliance glass, where dimensional and optical performance are important production requirements.
The cooperation also includes installation, commissioning, operator training and maintenance support from LandGlass.
SCHOLLGLAS has supplied glass for projects including the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, Riverbank House in London, Dubai International Airport, Harpa Concert & Conference Centre in Reykjavik and Opernturm in Frankfurt.
