Manchester-based aluminium fabricator 23 Doors has invested in a FOM Industrie FMC 120 CNC machining centre supplied and installed by Haffner, strengthening its production capacity as the company enters its next growth phase.
The investment supports 23 Doors’ manufacture of bespoke aluminium bi-folding and sliding doors, entrance doors, windows and rooflights. Increased automation is intended to raise output while maintaining machining accuracy, quality and production consistency.
The three-axis FMC 120 performs drilling and milling operations on aluminium profiles. Its pneumatically positioned worktable operates at 0°, 90° and 180°, enabling machining across three sides of a profile and improving processing flexibility.
According to 23 Doors director Peter Colclough, the additional CNC capacity will improve production efficiency and support future demand. Haffner business development manager Mike Moulds said the machine provides the fabricator with additional machining capability while offering flexibility for increasing production requirements.
