Norfolk-based fabricator J&K Glass & Glazing has expanded its partnership with machinery specialist Kombimatec after achieving a 50% reduction in routing times with its CR5650 Trickle Vent Router. The measurable productivity improvements, combined with ongoing technical support, prompted the family-run business to invest in a second machine, the DGS500 Electronic Double Mitre Saw.

J&K first introduced the CR5650 to streamline its manufacturing process, significantly reducing the time required for routing trickle vents while improving operational efficiency. Encouraged by the results and the support provided by Kombimatec Managing Director David Parsons, the company later selected the DGS500 to enhance the accuracy and consistency of its mitre cutting operations.

According to J&K, the new saw has been well received across the production team thanks to its ease of use and ability to deliver uniform, precise results regardless of operator experience. The investment aligns with the company’s long-standing commitment to combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology.
