Kunal Enterprise Engineers Strengthen Technical Expertise Through Advanced Training at Cugher Srl in Albania

Kunal Enterprise has reinforced its technical capabilities after successfully completing a two-week advanced engineering training program at the manufacturing facility of Cugher Srl in Albania. The initiative was designed to deepen the company’s expertise in automotive glass printing technology while further enhancing installation, commissioning, maintenance, and after-sales support for customers.

The comprehensive training brought together Kunal Enterprise’s engineering team with Cugher’s technical specialists, providing hands-on experience across every stage of machine operation. Engineers received in-depth instruction on equipment installation, commissioning procedures, electrical and mechanical systems, preventive maintenance strategies, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Working directly alongside Cugher’s design, production, and service departments also gave participants valuable insight into machine architecture, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.

A major focus of the program was understanding the complete automotive windshield outer-glass printing process. Engineers observed how individual glass lites are loaded and positioned before being transferred through a corner conveyor for precise alignment. The glass then enters Cugher’s screen-printing system, where a ceramic frit pattern, commonly referred to as the black band, is applied using precision screen-printing technology. This ceramic band plays an important role by protecting adhesives from ultraviolet exposure while also providing the bonding surface required for windshield installation.

The training also highlighted Cugher’s quality assurance procedures. After printing, every glass panel undergoes fully automated inspection through the Print Quality Vision System (PQVS), which verifies print positioning, dimensional accuracy, band width, and identifies defects such as pinholes, smears, or incomplete print areas. Automated inspection is complemented by manual quality verification to ensure compliance with the demanding standards of the automotive industry.

Following inspection, participants observed the downstream processing stages, where the printed glass passes through a hot-air drying section to stabilize the ceramic frit before entering a cooling zone. The finished glass is then automatically transferred to a stacking system, preparing it for the next stage of manufacturing.

Beyond technical instruction, the program allowed Kunal Enterprise engineers to gain practical experience in process optimization, field-service best practices, and rapid fault diagnosis. Exposure to Cugher’s manufacturing environment is expected to improve installation efficiency, reduce machine commissioning time, strengthen troubleshooting capabilities, and deliver faster, more effective technical support to customers.
