Nationwide Windows and Doors celebrated its 40th anniversary in style this June, bringing together 400 guests for a special event at The Vox, NEC Birmingham, to mark four decades of growth, resilience, and innovation.
The evening welcomed key partners, long-standing suppliers, customers, employees, and industry colleagues who have played a role in the company’s journey since its establishment on 5 June 1986. Hosted by comedian and television presenter Jason Manford, the celebration featured a surprise appearance from George Whalley, son of Managing Director John Whalley, who travelled from Australia specifically for the occasion.
John Whalley and Operations Director Daryl Cashmore addressed guests during the evening, reflecting on the company’s development over the past 40 years and thanking the many people who have contributed to its success. Their speeches were met with a standing ovation from attendees.
Entertainment continued with a comedy performance from Jason Manford, followed by audience singalongs to popular classics including Sweet Caroline and Delilah. A fireworks display over the venue’s lake provided one of the night’s standout moments before ten-piece party band The In Thing closed the celebrations with a live performance.
Today, Nationwide operates from a 150,000 sq ft manufacturing facility on a seven-acre site in Rugby, producing more than 2,500 windows and doors each week for projects across the UK.
