GlassBuild America 2025 will introduce the GlassBuild Skills Challenge, a new interactive experience celebrating the expertise and craftsmanship in the glass and glazing industry. Open to all attendees during show hours November 4–5 at Booth #21135, the challenge offers hands-on competitions, learning opportunities from industry experts, and a chance to win prizes.
The Shower Design Challenge tests glaziers’ ability to measure and design frameless shower enclosures. Participants will assess openings, spot common installation mistakes, and learn practical tips to improve accuracy, with daily tool prizes courtesy of MyGlassClass.com.
The “Are You AGMT Ready?” Challenge focuses on architectural glass skills, including sealant application and identifying errors in curtain wall mockups. Competitors will also learn about the Architectural Glass & Metal Technician (AGMT) certification while competing for prizes that make their work easier.
Residential window installers can take part in the InstallationMasters Challenge, hosted by the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA). Participants will demonstrate best practices, including applying flexible sill pans and self-adhering flashing, based on FMA/AAMA 100 standards, with winners receiving a free Fundamentals of Fenestration online course.
The IG Fabrication Challenge, also from FGIA, highlights best practices for insulating glass, focusing on sealant mixing and defect detection in IG units. Participants can win a complimentary Fundamentals of Insulating Glass education package.
The GlassBuild Skills Challenge is a unique chance to showcase skills, learn from peers, and celebrate excellence in the glass and glazing industry.
