The Aqualagon Water Park, designed by Ferrier Marchetti Studio, is a year-round aquatic destination at Villages Nature Paris. Nestled next to a lake and integrated into the surrounding forest, the park offers indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, terraces, and recreational areas, creating a seamless connection between leisure and landscape. Its design establishes the park as a visible landmark while harmonizing with the natural environment.
This connection between nature and architecture continues in the facade. The building features a mullion-and-transom system with expansive glassed panels, allowing daylight to penetrate deep into the interior and offering visitors uninterrupted views of the surrounding scenery.

Interwoven with the glazing are glulam (glued laminated timber) post-and-beam elements, which provide structural support while lending warmth and texture to the exterior. The timber follows a dynamic, origami-inspired arrangement, creating visual interest while echoing the park’s sculptural forms.
Above, a domed glass roof crowns the structure, flooding the interior with light and giving visitors the unique experience of swimming under the sky. By carefully blending glass and timber, the facade not only ensures transparency and openness but also enhances the park’s light, airy character, reinforcing its role as a striking and environmentally integrated landmark.
