Unelko Corporation has protected more than 10,000 m² of glass on the Disney Adventure, which debuted in January 2026, addressing one of the most demanding challenges for cruise ship glazing: constant exposure to sea spray, salt, mineral deposits, moisture, UV radiation and abrasion.
The project was managed by Piotr Plata of Hydrofob, Unelko’s master distributor in Poland, using Invisible Shield® PRO 15 and other Unelko surface protection products.
On cruise ships, glass is used extensively across multi-story atriums, observation decks, balcony panels, skylights and exterior façades. Salt and mineral deposits can adhere to these surfaces, increasing cleaning requirements, accelerating surface wear and affecting glass clarity. Maintaining such areas can require specialized crews, elevated platforms, robotics and significant use of cleaning chemicals.
Unelko’s Invisible Shield PRO 15 and Repel coatings create a molecular barrier designed to reduce the adhesion of soil, salt and mineral buildup. By making contaminants easier to remove, the treatment is intended to reduce cleaning frequency and maintenance effort while helping preserve the appearance and visibility of the glass. 
The scale of the Disney Adventure application highlights the maintenance demands created by large glazed areas in marine environments, where protecting the surface can be as important as cleaning it.
