Thomas Chen, chairperson and founder of Crystal Window and Door Systems, reflected on the company’s journey since its inception in 1990. “I started this company with a small commercial operation in New York City, and with focus, determination, and a lot of hard work with dedicated employees, Crystal is now a national manufacturer with five major production facilities across the country,” he stated. This expansion to Mansfield represents the company’s sixth major manufacturing plant, further establishing its footprint in the United States.

Located just outside the booming Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, the Mansfield site spans 46 acres and is set to be developed in phases over the coming years. Once fully operational, the facility will encompass over 600,000 square feet of production space and will be equipped to employ more than 500 skilled workers. Construction activities are slated to commence in 2025, setting the stage for a substantial increase in both production capabilities and local employment opportunities.

The development of this facility is made possible, in part, through the support of a $3,150,000 grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund, along with a $15,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus. These incentives highlight the state’s commitment to fostering a favorable business environment that encourages growth and innovation among manufacturers.
