ScmGroup Inaugurates Hiteco

Hiteco, an Scm Group company specializing in the development and production of hi-tech mechatronic components for machine tool manufacturers, inaugurated its new premises in Rimini.

This event marks a significant milestone in Scm Group’s ongoing commitment to investing in the region where the company was founded over 70 years ago and to expanding its global market presence.

Established in 1977 as an in-house department to provide components for the group’s machines, Hiteco has experienced steady growth over the decades, aided by a constant increase in exports. The company’s progressive growth has resulted in a turnover of around 40 million euros at the end of 2023, making Hiteco one of the leading global manufacturers in the sector for high-tech components for numerically controlled machines used to process a wide range of materials, including wood, plastic, composites, glass, stone, and metal.

The new headquarters in Rimini covers an area of 9,000 square meters, more than double the size of the previous facility in Villa Verucchio. This investment will allow Hiteco to increase its workforce, improve production efficiency (100% Made in Italy), and expand its R&D efforts. The projects focus on the development of new digital services, IoT services, and intelligent products with AI algorithms, as well as an expansion of the range in the stone, glass, and metal machining sectors and Industry 5.0.

“The inauguration of Hiteco’s new headquarters,” said Scm Group President Andrea Aureli, “confirms the group’s desire to continue investing in the area where it was founded over 70 years ago and to acquire new market shares even in a sector such as industrial mechatronic components, which is characterized by significant growth margins.”

Hiteco director Massimo Benvenuti emphasized the importance of the company’s people in achieving this level of excellence, stating, “If today we are an excellence recognized throughout the world with a widespread international presence, this is possible thanks to the people who work with dedication and passion for this company every day, from operations to offices.”

The Grand Opening of Hiteco’s new premises was attended by representatives from the Emilia-Romagna Regional Council, the province and mayor of Rimini, the Superintendence for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, and various institutions from the world of business and further education. This event underscores Scm Group’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with the local community, a core value that has been a hallmark of the company’s success.

Scm Group’s investment in Hiteco’s new headquarters reflects the group’s ongoing dedication to promoting development and preserving the “Made in Italy” legacy, solidifying its position as a global leader in the production of high-quality, technologically advanced, and sustainable industrial mechatronic components.
