Independent trade fabricator Modplan Ltd has strengthened the market position of its newly launched composite door range after achieving Secured by Design accreditation, the official police security initiative recognising products designed to help reduce crime through improved security performance.
Introduced in June 2026, the new range has been developed around a carefully selected combination of components, including DoorCo composite door slabs, VEKA plc outer frames and the Winkhaus autoLock AV4 automatic multi-point locking system. The specification is designed to provide installers with a composite door solution combining security, thermal efficiency, durability and design flexibility.
The Secured by Design accreditation provides independent confirmation that the doors meet recognised police-backed security requirements, giving installers an additional selling point when discussing entrance door upgrades with homeowners.
Liam Isaac, Head of Sales and Marketing at Modplan, said security had been a key focus throughout the development process, with the company aiming to deliver a product that combines aesthetics, performance and confidence for homeowners.
