LandGlass and Transparent Design, Romania’s leading flat glass processor, are pleased to announce the continued expansion of their successful partnership.

This collaboration underscores both companies’ commitment to delivering high-quality glass products and pushing the boundaries of glass processing technology.

Since its inception in 2005, Transparent Design has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, continually investing in advanced technology to meet the ever-growing demands of the market. This proactive approach is evident in their strategic selection of LandGlass UltraJet tempering furnaces.

Between 2021 and 2024, Transparent Design significantly boosted its production capacity by installing three state-of-the-art LandGlass UltraJet tempering furnaces. The first, an UltraJet A3260U (installed in 2021), handles exceptionally large glass sizes up to 6,000 x 3,300 mm and thicknesses from 5 to 19 mm. This was followed by the UltraJet Plus Bottom SuperAir in May 2022, capable of tempering glass up to 5,000 x 2,400 mm (with thicknesses between 3.2 and 19 mm). The third furnace, an UltraJet LD-A3050U, became operational in February 2024, further enhancing production capacity from 1,100 to 1,600 square meters of tempered glass per 8-hour shift. This furnace processes glass up to 5,000 x 3,000 mm with thicknesses ranging from 5 to 19 mm.

This expansion is not slowing down. A fourth LandGlass furnace is scheduled for delivery in early 2025. This cutting-edge machine will handle even larger formats, up to 9,000 x 3,210 mm, and incorporates advanced convex and concave bending technology. This will enable Transparent Design to meet the exacting demands of contemporary architectural projects requiring sophisticated curved glass solutions.

Further enhancing their capabilities, Transparent Design will be adding two automated bending modules to existing tempering furnaces. This addition will significantly expand their range of offerings to include tempered curved glass with diverse bending radii, both concave and convex. This opens up a wealth of new applications, including interior partitions, structural facades, balustrades, refrigeration displays, and automotive components.

The continued expansion of this partnership between LandGlass and Transparent Design solidifies Transparent Design’s position as a leader in the Romanian glass market and showcases the power of collaborative innovation within the industry. The investment in advanced technology ensures that Transparent Design remains at the forefront of glass processing, consistently delivering superior quality and meeting the evolving needs of its clients.
