Glaston has reinforced its long-standing partnership with Manna Glass through a major investment in jumbo glass tempering technology, highlighting the growing demand for large-format, high-performance glass.
In late 2025, Glaston finalized a deal to deliver three Jumbo Series tempering lines to Manna, with installations scheduled between the second and fourth quarters of 2026. This follows Manna’s initial investment in a Jumbo Series line in 2022, marking a continued expansion of its production capabilities. Headquartered in Riyadh and founded in 1952, Manna already operates six lines equipped with Glaston technology, reflecting a collaboration that spans more than two decades.
The new tempering lines, to be installed across facilities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, feature the Chinook circulated-air convection system combined with the advanced Glaston Autopilot. This integrated automation solution enables precise heating control and consistent, high-capacity production, ensuring energy-efficient processing of large glass panels.
With Glaston Autopilot, the tempering process becomes fully automated, as the system adjusts parameters based on each glass sheet’s position. This allows operators to focus on monitoring rather than manual input, improving efficiency while reducing energy consumption per square meter.
According to Glaston, the partnership dates back to the late 1990s, underscoring a shared commitment to technological advancement. Saeed Manna, chairman of Manna, noted that the investment reflects a strategic shift toward automation and artificial intelligence, aligning with the broader industrial transformation goals of Saudi Vision 2030 while enhancing product quality and sustainability.
