Glaston Corporation, a leading global provider of glass processing technologies, has secured two significant orders for its innovative FC Series E tempering lines from North European safety glass manufacturers during the first half of 2024.
This continued success highlights Glaston’s commitment to providing advanced solutions that meet the evolving needs of the glass processing industry.
The demand for safety glass is rapidly growing, driven by increasingly stringent safety regulations and a shift towards larger, more complex glass designs. Furthermore, the widespread adoption of Low-Emissivity (Low-E) coatings, which enhance energy efficiency in buildings, requires sophisticated tempering capabilities for optimal performance.
Glaston’s FC Series E tempering lines address these challenges head-on. Featuring advanced circulated-air convection technology, the FC Series E enables efficient and high-quality tempering of any glass type. This, combined with state-of-the-art automation, ensures reliable and flexible production with consistently uniform results.
The optional Glaston Autopilot further enhances production efficiency by automating the tempering process. Autopilot automatically sets all parameters based on the glass sheet’s placement, minimizing operator intervention and allowing for a simple monitoring process. This automation not only reduces labor requirements, but also increases loading efficiency, ultimately lowering energy consumption per processed square meter.
“Glaston has a long history of developing and manufacturing energy-efficient glass tempering machines,” says Miika Äppelqvist, SVP Architecture at Glaston. “Optimizing production efficiency and accuracy is vital, as our customers strive to maximize the output of each glass load and achieve a rapid return on investment. We are delighted that these orders for our new FC Series E validate our customers’ trust in our expertise and demonstrate the value they see in our cutting-edge heating technology combined with advanced automation. This technology not only simplifies operations but also guarantees consistent high quality,” he concludes.
The orders for the FC Series E tempering lines with delivery scheduled for the first half of 2025. These orders represent a significant endorsement of Glaston’s commitment to innovation and leadership in the glass processing industry.
