Bertrand Cazes, Secretary General of Glass for Europe, participated in the “Glass Termin / Journée d’échanges du verre” organized by SIGAB, the technical department of SFV/ASVP, the Swiss glazing association. Cazes contributed to the program with a keynote speech titled “European Sustainability Legislations and its Challenges and Opportunities for the Glass Industry.”
The event, held in the impressive Quai Zurich Insurance Campus, provided an ideal setting for discussing sustainability trends in building glass. The campus, a harmonious blend of historic architecture and a modern, audacious glazed addition meeting the highest sustainability standards, served as a tangible example of the industry’s progress.
The “Glass Termin” attracted over 100 participants, including glass transformers, glaziers, and providers from all regions of Switzerland. This provided valuable opportunity for Glass for Europe to engage with key stakeholders in the Swiss glazing industry, fostering dialogue and exploring potential areas of collaboration.
Glass for Europe sees this event as a crucial first step towards building lasting relationships with the Swiss glazing community. We are confident that continued dialogue and collaboration will be beneficial to both parties, driving innovation and promoting sustainable building practices in Switzerland.
