We are thrilled to announce a significant achievement for ETEM as the Piraeus Tower’s facade design, in collaboration with PILA architectural office, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Facade Award of Excellence’ by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) for the year 2024.
CTBUH, a renowned global non-profit organization headquartered in Chicago, is dedicated to shaping intelligent cities and fostering a sustainable future for the global population.
Under the visionary leadership of Ilias Papageorgiou and Christina Papalexandris, the new facade of the Piraeus Tower has been transformed into a captivating architectural landmark that has garnered international acclaim. The design concept put forward by PILA architectural office not only exudes visual appeal but also integrates sustainable design principles aimed at significantly reducing energy consumption.
At the heart of this remarkable project lie the cutting-edge systems provided by ETEM, featuring striking vertical and horizontal louvres that imbue the building with a sense of continuous motion and adaptability due to their adjustable angles.
