Established in 1985 in the picturesque town of San Severino Marche, Italy, Artigianvetro began as a modest artisan store founded by Graziano Marcantonelli.
With little more than a workbench and a few essential tools, Graziano laid the groundwork for what would become a remarkable success story in the glass manufacturing industry. The early years were characterized by dedication and craftsmanship, and the eventual addition of his younger brother Daniele to the team further strengthened their enterprise, setting the stage for future growth.
By the mid-1990s, Artigianvetro was poised for transformation. The introduction of cutting benches, washing machines, and the first Forel flatbed press marked a significant shift towards automation. These strategic investments not only streamlined production processes but also ensured greater precision and quality in their glass products. This commitment to innovation was a clear indication that Artigianvetro was ready to evolve from its artisan roots into a more industrialized operation.
In 2012, the company made another pivotal move by relocating and investing in a new insulating glass line. This upgrade included the installation of a vertical grinding machine and an automatic flexible profile applicator—technological advancements that positioned Artigianvetro among the first in Italy to adopt such innovations. This forward-thinking approach has allowed the company to maintain its competitive edge while enhancing product offerings.
Fast forward to 2023, Artigianvetro is on the brink of another significant milestone with the introduction of a Jumbo Line. “The decision to invest in a new Jumbo Line matured during 2022, following analysis of market trends that indicated a growing demand for larger glazing and faster delivery times,” explained Nicola Marcantonelli, Graziano’s son and current Production Manager. “After a careful study phase with Forel, a long-standing partner known for its ability to innovate, we looked at several options to expand our production capacity. Considering we have seen this company always look ahead and grow in small steps, the choice of a new Jumbo line was dictated by the desire to take one more step forward to offer our customers a larger size that we were previously unable to produce.”
Artigianvetro’s journey is not merely one of technological advancement; it is a narrative of resilience and strategic growth. From its humble beginnings, the company has evolved into a leading industrial vanguard in the national market, adept at producing a diverse range of insulating glass for both residential and commercial applications, now including larger sizes and thicknesses. Despite its industrial scale, Artigianvetro retains an artisan soul, reflecting a commitment to quality and craftsmanship that has been integral to its identity.
The partnership with Forel has been instrumental in this evolution, enabling Artigianvetro to leverage cutting-edge technologies and optimize production processes. This collaboration has not only facilitated growth but has also instilled a culture of continuous improvement within the company. Looking ahead, Artigianvetro is poised to embrace new challenges and seize opportunities in an ever-evolving market, with a steadfast goal of consolidating its leadership position while consistently delivering high-quality products and services to its customers.
Artigianvetro’s story is a testament to the power of innovation, strategic investment, and a deep-rooted commitment to quality. As the company continues to grow and adapt, it remains a shining example of how an artisan spirit can thrive within the framework of modern industry.
