Emplas and Pilkington UK are reporting positive results from their glass supply partnership, established more than six months ago. The collaboration is strengthening Emplas’s manufacturing operations while supporting its strategy to supply installers with complete, factory-glazed windows and doors.
Under the arrangement, Pilkington UK supplies the raw glass, which is subsequently processed through Padiham Glass, part of the Emplas group, before being incorporated into finished window and door products. This structure gives Emplas greater control over the production process, from raw material specification to final quality checks.
According to Nigel Scott, Senior Operations Manager at Emplas, the partnership has delivered improved product consistency, service support and a more competitive commercial offer. The involvement of the recognised Pilkington brand also provides an additional point of reassurance for installers and homeowners.

The model is designed to simplify procurement for installers by providing a single supply route for complete glazed frames, reducing the need to coordinate separate frame and glass orders. It also helps minimise specification errors and installation delays.
Pilkington UK says the collaboration provides a strong basis for continued cooperation, combining its glass supply capabilities with Emplas’s established processing expertise.
