Force 8 has rolled out an upgraded version of its composite French door system, purpose-built for residential applications where homeowners seek both elegance and high performance. The revamped system blends sleek aesthetics with robust security and installer-friendly features, marking another advancement in the company’s range of innovative door solutions.
One of the key updates is a slimline aluminium meeting rail, giving the doors a cleaner, more modern appearance while also improving strength and stability. Force 8 has also integrated its advanced auto-locking system, which secures all latches and locks as soon as the door is closed, offering instant protection without the need for manual locking. For users wanting smart home functionality, the system is compatible with the Tedee remote lock, enabling keyless access and remote control without requiring any additional wiring.
Weather resistance has also seen a significant upgrade. The new design features a Neoprene rubber seal recessed within the door, providing a precision fit and reliable protection against air and water ingress. This is paired with a Q-Lon edge seal from Mila, further enhancing insulation and long-term durability in harsh weather conditions.
For added security, the slave door is equipped with reinforced finger bolts at both the top and bottom. Fully adjustable SFS hinges simplify installation and allow fine-tuning over time to maintain optimal performance.
Homeowners can choose from a broad range of colours, finishes, and designs – including arched and part-arched options – making the system adaptable to both traditional and contemporary properties. A wide selection of handles, including modern stainless steel pull handles, completes the customisation possibilities.
Dennis Sumner, founder of Force 8, commented that the upgrade “represents the next step in uniting design, security and simplicity for installers,” highlighting how each improvement contributes to long-term reliability and a premium user experience.
