Kuraray will take center stage at GlassBuild America 2025, joining industry peers Millet Glass Industry and Vitro Architectural Glass to discuss the award-winning One River North project. The panel, moderated by Max Perilstein, is scheduled for November 4 at 10:00 AM on the Main Stage, offering attendees a deep dive into the materials and collaborative processes that defined this landmark project.
Kuraray’s involvement in One River North centered on its SentryGlas® interlayer, a high-performance laminated glass solution that enhances safety, structural integrity, and visual clarity. The interlayer allowed the project’s dramatic façade, featuring a multi-story “canyon” carved through the building, to meet rigorous performance requirements while maintaining transparency and elegance. Kuraray engineers collaborated closely with architects, glass fabricators, and installation teams to ensure seamless integration of SentryGlas® into complex, geometrically challenging glazing units.
The panel will highlight how Kuraray’s advanced interlayer solutions enabled the One River North team to overcome technical challenges, including varied façade setbacks, transitional glazing, and post-breakage safety requirements. Kuraray representatives will share insights into material selection, testing, and coordination strategies that contributed to the project earning Best Project Team and Project of the Year honors at the 2025 Glass Magazine Awards.
One River North, a 16-story residential and mixed-use building in Denver’s River North district, combines cutting-edge glass technology with biophilic design elements, including open-air terraces and landscaped spaces integrated into the vertical façade. Kuraray’s contribution ensured the project’s ambitious architectural vision could be realized without compromising safety or performance.
