Romanian glass manufacturer OviBest has taken a major step forward with the installation of its first-ever tempering line from Glaston, marking a new chapter in the company’s growth. Based in Carei, near the Hungarian border, OviBest has evolved from a small PVC window workshop into an international supplier of insulating, tempered, and laminated glass.

Installed in June 2025, the new Glaston furnace, equipped with Autopilot technology, has allowed even first-time operators to manage production effortlessly. “With Autopilot, it’s as easy as using a smartphone,” says Marius Vaganyik, Production Manager at OviBest. “You just touch the screen, select the glass type, and the magic happens.”

Previously reliant on outsourcing for tempering, OviBest faced transport damage, higher costs, and project delays. Now, in-house tempering ensures uniform quality, faster turnaround, and lower risks. The furnace’s advanced convection system guarantees consistent heating, while its noise reduction cabinet provides a quieter working environment.

With around 80 employees and exports to Hungary, Italy, France, Austria, and Germany, OviBest continues to expand its reach. The new Glaston line strengthens the company’s efficiency, independence, and competitiveness, positioning it for further growth in energy-efficient glass manufacturing.
