HORN Glass Industries AG has successfully commissioned its third glass melting furnace for Ambev, part of the global brewing group Anheuser-Busch InBev. On October 8, 2025, the heating-up of the new 400 tonnes-per-day regenerative furnace began, marking an important milestone for container glass production in South America.

The furnace features three HORN GCS® 301-advanced forehearths and produces flint, amber, and green glass. It is engineered to deliver maximum pull in all three colors at both 6% electrical share and up to 20% using HORN’s E-Fusion power-boosting technology.

Acting as a turnkey supplier, HORN provided all technological equipment, including refractory materials, steel structure, supervision, installation, commissioning, operator training, and production support. The experienced on-site team ensures the project proceeds as planned, with glass production scheduled to begin this week.

HORN extends gratitude to Ambev for their continued trust, celebrating another step toward modern, efficient, and sustainable glass production in South America.
