Glaston Corporation recently welcomed partners from the DaRe-X co-innovation project to its facilities, deepening collaboration toward more sustainable manufacturing. The DaRe-X initiative, funded by Business Finland, unites industry leaders and research organizations to accelerate the transition to a circular economy through practical demonstrations and digital tools.
The consortium includes Glaston, Konecranes, Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe, Atostek, Kaltiot, Sofidium, LUT University, the University of Oulu, Mirka, and Danfoss.

Together, the partners develop and test methods for implementing advanced “Re-X” processes such as refurbishing, remanufacturing, and repurposing of industrial equipment.
Through pilot projects and data-driven solutions, DaRe-X aims to overcome key barriers, such as limited know-how, lack of data, and viable business models, hindering large-scale circular practices. Glaston’s participation emphasizes its commitment to collaborative innovation, applying digitalization and lifecycle thinking to enhance sustainability and efficiency across the glass processing industry.
