AAN Architects has completed Moreprk Skyline, a new urban skatepark located in Shanghai’s Xuhui district. The project introduces a vertical typology for urban sports spaces, reimagining the traditional ground-level skatepark as part of the city’s architecture.
Elevated about 20 meters above ground, the facility appears as a floating glass volume attached to a building façade overlooking a nearby highway. This configuration allows users to skate while enjoying sweeping views of Shanghai’s skyline.

Drawing inspiration from the city’s contours, AAN Architects designed a continuous series of curved banks and rolling slopes that create a fluid environment for movement and social interaction. The architects describe the project as “a three-dimensional theater open to the city,” emphasizing its dual role as both recreational space and urban interface.
Moreprk Skyline marks a step forward in integrating sports, architecture, and public visibility within dense metropolitan environments.
