Şişecam, a global leader in glass and chemicals, achieved consolidated net sales of 101 billion TL in the first half of 2025. International markets, including exports from Türkiye and sales from production facilities abroad, accounted for 62% of total revenue. During this period, exports reached 483 million USD, and total investments amounted to 14.6 billion TL. Production volumes included 2.8 million tons of glass, 2.2 million tons of soda ash, and 1.9 million tons of industrial raw materials.
CEO Can Yücel noted that global macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions continue to shape the business environment. Şişecam navigated challenges such as rising production costs, slower global demand, and tight monetary policies by maintaining a strategic focus on efficiency, cost control, and high-value operations.
The company launched an Efficiency Management Program in 2025 to systematically optimize operations. Initiatives include cost-saving measures, simplification of processes, prioritization of high-value assets, and enhancements in production efficiency and resource utilization. Price improvements, particularly in the European market, contributed to stronger financial performance.
In the architectural glass segment, Şişecam advanced the cold repair of a Northern Italy flat glass facility, restructured European capacity, and plans new coating lines in Bulgaria, Türkiye, and Italy in 2026. The Tarsus facility, including frosted and energy glass production, is now scheduled to begin operations in late 2025, supporting Turkey’s export potential. 
Şişecam is modernizing and consolidating production operations, including relocating handmade glassware from Denizli to Kırklareli and merging automotive glass facilities from Germany and Hungary into Slovakia. In the U.S., their natural soda ash operations continue to expand, with the Pacific Soda project progressing toward a 5-million-ton annual capacity.
