As of August 4, 2025, Christian Fröba will officially step into the role of Chief Executive Officer at both Vaider Group and its Slovenian subsidiary, Hrastnik1860. With this appointment, the group opens a new chapter in its development, blending deep-rooted expertise with forward-thinking ambition.
Fröba’s name is already well known in the global glass industry. Over the past two decades, he has held key leadership roles at companies such as Bucher Emhart Glass and Heinz-Glas, and his background spans crucial areas such as production, decoration, and supply chain management. Holding a degree in mechanical engineering and an Executive MBA from ESSEC and Mannheim Business School, he combines technical know-how with strategic vision.
His predecessor, Peter Čas, leaves behind a strong legacy. During his tenure, Vaider Group made bold progress on its sustainability goals, transforming operations and setting new standards in eco-friendly glass manufacturing. Čas now transitions to lead innovation projects beyond the group’s traditional packaging segment, signaling Vaider’s broader ambitions.
Reflecting on his appointment, Fröba shared:
I am honoured to join Vaider Group. Our focus will continue to be solving our clients’ most crucial challenges through innovation and superior customer service.
As the glass industry faces increasing demand for sustainable, high-performance solutions, Fröba’s arrival signals continuity, with a fresh perspective. With one foot firmly planted in tradition and the other stepping into the future, Vaider Group seems ready for what’s next.
