In Bielefeld, the growing demand for educational space led to the expansion of Hellingskampschule. Designed by Pussert Kosch Architekten, the project includes three interconnected school buildings and a sports hall.

OKALUX Enhances Learning Spaces

OKALUX glass plays a key role in creating bright, energy-efficient interiors. It brings daylight deep into the buildings while reducing glare and managing heat, key to supporting a focused and comfortable learning environment.

High-Performance Sports Hall Glazing

The sports hall features OKALUX K, which provides soft, shadow-free daylight and excellent thermal insulation, ideal for both safety and energy efficiency.

Smart Skylights for Year-Round Comfort

Above the courtyard, OKASOLAR S skylights offer directional sun protection. This system cuts cooling needs in summer and increases solar gain in winter, lowering the building’s energy consumption.

Sustainable Architecture in Action

With daylight at its core, the Hellingskampschule extension demonstrates how innovative glass solutions like those from OKALUX can transform school environments, supporting well-being, sustainability, and modern education goals.
