Horn Glass Industries

HORN Glass Industries, a global specialist in glass melting technology, has been selected by PGP Glass Private Limited to carry out a major furnace upgrade at its Kosamba manufacturing facility near Mumbai, India.

The project involves the transformation of an existing furnace into a 60 tonnes-per-day regenerative end fired furnace, tailored for the production of flint glass containers, a staple in the cosmetics and perfumery packaging market, where optical clarity and quality are paramount. The upgraded furnace will power four production lines, significantly enhancing output and consistency.

PGP Glass, a leading global player in the glass packaging segment, exports to over 60 countries and services high-end cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and specialty food brands. With growing demand for lightweight, sustainable, and premium packaging, this upgrade positions the company for long-term competitiveness.

HORN’s scope of supply includes its E-Fusion Power Boosting System, enabling greater energy efficiency and flexibility in melting operations, and its precision batch charging system, which ensures optimal material flow and glass quality. These technologies support reduced emissions and improved process control, key priorities in modern glass production.

By partnering once again with HORN, PGP Glass is reaffirming its commitment to technological excellence, sustainability, and product innovation in the glass container industry.
