In a move set to redefine the South-West’s architectural glazing landscape, Union Glass has announced the acquisition of Armada Glass, a specialist in high-end interior glasswork. This bold step aligns with Union Glass’s broader expansion strategy, following a £1.2 million investment in a new HQ and the 2023 launch of its steel fabrication division.
Strengthening Capabilities Through Synergy
Armada Glass, founded in 2003 in Saltash, has built a reputation for precision, creativity, and technological advancement. Known for digitally printed splashbacks, fused glass wall art, and decorative finishes, Armada’s workshop is powered by premium equipment such as the Intermac Master One CNC, digital printing systems, and a dedicated spray booth, all of which now enhance Union Glass’s existing production power.

From Bespoke Artistry to Commercial Scale
This acquisition strengthens Union Glass’s position as a full-service partner across residential, commercial, and architectural glazing. The integration will allow for seamless delivery across the spectrum, from complex curtain wall systems to bespoke one-off designs.
Preserving Creative Identity, Fueling Growth
While Armada Glass retains its brand and creative leadership, the long-term plan includes operational integration into Union Glass’s new facility. Importantly, no jobs will be lost, and team expansion is expected.
As Operations Director Nigel Brown puts it: “We’re not just expanding, we’re evolving.” Together, these two companies now offer a rare blend of large-scale capability and refined, design-led innovation, a true benchmark for the future of glazing in the UK.
